OTH Amberg-Weiden Technical University of Applied Sciences
The OTH-AW (Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden) is a young and innovative university of applied sciences, providing a qualified and future orientated education. OTH-AW provides at the location Amberg different Bachelor and Master courses in the field of mechanical engineering, electrotechnical engineering and computer sciences. OTH-AW’s Faculty of Electrical-and Information Engineering is engaged over 10 Years in driver assistance systems and embedded programming in automotive areas. OTH-AW is involved in several projects e.g. (BMBF) AUTOSAFE (Traffic sign recognition, near range radar processing, vehicle-to-server communication for monitoring vehicle data through test-drives) (EU) HAVEit - radar signal processing and data fusion fora radar network for safety application on vehicle, (BMWi) UR:BAN (radar signal processing for Urban usage e.g. detection of parking lots), MotorBrain (embedded programming, redundancy and safety), eDAS (holistic energy management for 3rd and 4th generation EVs) as well as 3Ccar. Futhermore projects as Ko-HAF, AutoDrive, PRYSTINE and AI4DI tackle the research field of reliable communication and distributed computing applied for conditionally and highly automated driving as well as in smart infrastructure. In the EU project 1000kmPLUS the OTH-AW provides a high efficient routing algorithm for electric vehicles able to find the best charging station dependent on different requirements for the project.
